New: Clean Start Setup

You’re starting a business, and QuickBooks setup shouldn’t be the hard part.

For $499, I’ll build your QuickBooks company right, then hand it back to you to run.

Here’s what I do

Three things I set up for you

Built for your business

See what this means

A chart of accounts (the list of categories QuickBooks sorts your money into) built around what you sell and how you work.

One real starting point

See what this means

An accurate opening balance as of the day you start, so your file is accurate from the start.

A guide to keep it right

See what this means

A written, plain-English guide, built around your real chart of accounts, covering exactly what to do with it every week from here.

What you get out of it

A clean file you can run yourself

Start with a clean file.

Set up correctly from the beginning.

Know it was set up right.

Built personally by a QuickBooks ProAdvisor, matched to your real business.

Run it yourself from here.

Your guide tells you exactly what to do with it, every week.

What this isn’t

Good to know before you pay

Not for a file that already exists.

This builds a company from nothing. If you already have a QuickBooks file, even a messy one, that’s a cleanup, a different service with its own quote. Reach out and we’ll talk about what that looks like.

Not built for inventory.

If your business carries physical inventory, cost-of-goods timing is a real, separate piece of accounting this simple setup doesn’t cover. Reach out so we can talk about what you need.

Not ongoing help.

This is one delivery, a single project with a clear end point. If keeping it up becomes more than you want to handle, monthly bookkeeping is there whenever you want it, no pressure either way.

Not tax filing or tax advice.

A clean file makes tax season easier on whoever prepares your taxes. Your tax preparer still handles that part.

You connect your own bank accounts.

That’s the one step that stays yours. I’ll walk you through it, and I don’t handle online banking logins for any client.

About the access

Here’s what that access means

You’ll need your own QuickBooks Online subscription, paid directly to Intuit. If you don’t have one yet, I’ll help you pick the right plan before anything starts.

Once your company exists, two things happen on your end: you connect your own bank and card accounts, and you add me as your accountant using my Firm ID, the code QuickBooks uses to grant an accountant access, no password of yours involved. Once both are done, I build the file and hand it back with your guide.

The offer

Clean Start Setup

$499 one time
  • A brand-new QuickBooks company, built for your actual business
  • One accurate opening balance, as of your real start date
  • A written guide, PDF, built around your real chart of accounts
  • Back to you within five business days
My guarantee

If it’s wrong, I fix it. Free.

If anything in the setup is wrong, I fix it free, within 30 days of handoff. Checked against QuickBooks’ own change history, a real record of exactly who touched what and when. If it shows something changed after handoff, that’s outside the guarantee. A real mistake in the original build stays covered.

If this turns out not to be the right fit
If you pay and it turns out you already have a QuickBooks file with real activity in it, this setup can’t be built for you. It only ever builds a brand-new file. Your $499 goes toward the cleanup you need instead, and if you’d rather not do that, I refund it.

Once your file is built and handed to you, the sale is final.

One quick check before you pay

Let’s make sure this fits

This is built for a straightforward business getting its first real QuickBooks file. If your situation is unusual, multiple entities, an existing partial setup, something that doesn’t fit a normal new company, reach out first so we can talk scope before any money moves. Not sure this is even the right move yet? The free guide covers the five mistakes that do the most damage in a new business’s first year, no QuickBooks required to read it.
